In Memory of Ayesha

Ayesha's Story

Ayesha was the heart and soul of our family, a loving wife, a devoted mother, and a dear friend to us and to all who knew her. Her life was a testament to the power of faith, love, and unwavering dedication.

Ayesha did everything in her life for our three children, raising them with exceptional moral and religious values. She instilled in them the importance of kindness, integrity, and faith in Allah. Before becoming a full-time mother and wife, Ayesha taught primary school for six years, showering her students with love and care. Her nurturing spirit extended beyond the classroom as she dedicated herself entirely to our family.

Ayesha's faith in Allah was boundless, and she passed this strength onto all of us. Even when she began experiencing movement issues in August 2023, she remained steadfast. In October 2023, she was diagnosed with stage 4 suspected glioblastoma. She faced the diagnosis with remarkable courage. Her tumors were bilateral and deep-seated, making surgery impossible. When offered radiation and chemotherapy, she refused, knowing that they would not significantly benefit her. Instead, she chose to follow only natural treatments. Despite being told she might only have one to one and a half months to live without treatment, Ayesha remained with us for five months, defying the odds. She passed away peacefully in her sleep on March 31, 2024, just a few days after her 50th birthday on March 15.

Her only concern was for our children and me, not for herself. She remained unafraid of her disease up until the end, which came peacefully in her sleep—something unexpected medically, as most patients in her condition rely on morphine. Even during her illness, Ayesha wanted to care for us, and we often had to remind her to rest.

Ayesha never spoke ill of anyone. She served everyone with love, welcoming each visitor into our home with open arms, whether they were invited or not. Her warmth and hospitality amazed everyone who met her. People from abroad, both family and friends, often called her for medical advice, and she would always ask me to help them without expecting anything in return.

During her sickness, Ayesha often urged me to focus my research on cancer prevention and treatment, especially through natural products, and to help those who cannot afford treatment. Her vision continues to guide my work and my commitment to making a difference in the world of medical research.

She practiced Islam with devotion day and night, praying for us and for humanity. Her philosophy was simple: be good to everyone and to nature without expecting anything in return, trusting that the reward would come from above. Ayesha’s legacy of love, faith, and selflessness continues to inspire us every day.

Honoring Her Legacy

Ayesha’s battle with cancer has reinforced my commitment to advancing our understanding of early-onset cancers and developing better prevention and treatment strategies. Her story is a powerful reminder of why this work is so critical.
